# Inkjet Print Head for High Speed Labelling

**Markings are a very important part of automated cutting. Accurate labelling and marking for seam allowances and part positions can speed up your production just as much as the cutting process.**

An inkjet head lets you more print pattern labels and reference information, much faster than you can do with a conventional marker or pen.

**The two big advantages of inkjet print heads on automated cutters are speed and zero contact.**

Marking patterns with order details can take some time with a pen but it's barely a couple of seconds with an inkjet print head. Adding all the extra information like size, date, customer name, order number etc. only takes a fraction longer than doing the minimum marking that you'd do with a pen and it saves so much time and mistakes down the line.

**Zero contact marking** is the other big advantage of inkjet printing. You can mark coarse, woven, porous, mesh and all sorts of other materials quickly and easily.

**Reliable and low maintenance**. The HP style cartridge contains not just the ink but the inkjet nozzles. Most inks have a good balance between quick drying on the job and not drying and clogging the nozzles but if a cartridge is left in the print head over the holiday, changing the cartridge will fix the nozzles.
