Aeronaut Machine Vision Systems

Aeronaut's Machine Vision Systems - SiliconEye and Cylops, give your cutter a watchful eye on your cutting table and what's under the cutting head. They're used for a range of tasks like digitising and pattern alignment which are impossible without machine vision.

SiliconEye's revolutionary innovation is to load the image of your cutting table right into the nesting queue. What you see is the cutting table, right down to the vacuum holes (and the cutter if it has not been moved out of the way!) This picture shows four small black hides on a table which have been auto-traced by SiliconEye so the outlines can be nested into.

There are flaws in these hides so the operator can zoom in and trace fault lines over the flaws. The opacity of the traced outlines can be adjusted so they're more or less transparent to help visualise things. Once the tracing and flaw marking is done, patterns can be imported and autonested into the outlines. This whole process from the photograph to the end of nesting only takes a little over a minute and then you're ready to cut.

SiliconEye Machine Vision

SiliconEye is a whole-table machine vision system using an overhead camera which loads an image directly into Tangent's nesting queue. Anything on the cutting table can now be clearly visualised, digitised or traced. Outlines can be cut or used as background shapes for nesting into. Cut profiles can be confidently aligned with material on the cutting table.

Cyclops Machine Vision

Cyclops is a gantry mounted machine vision systems which lets the operator see a detailed live view of exactly what's below the cutting head. Cyclops can be used for digitising and aligning patterns in the nesting queue to align exactly with what's on the cutting table.
