Elektron Laser ti60, ti80 and ti100
All Round Performance Laser Cutting
Aeronaut's medium power lasers combine the speed and agility of a lower powered laser with the cutting power to handle heavier materials at economical production speeds on lightweight and heavy fabrics.
Aeronaut offers several power levels in medium power lasers. The 60, 80 and 100 watt continuous wave laser tubes are all the same format so one chassis can accommodate all three power levels with only changes to the power supply.
Medium power laser cutters are all available in air or water cooled versions. The choice depends on your cutting room operating environment.
Cutting at the Speed of Light
100 watt lasers are a great middle ground between the low and high powered lasers because they're light enough to accelerate and move quickly and powerful enough to cut at speed.
While a 100 watt laser won't cut spinnaker cloth or parachute Nylon any faster than a 30 watt laser, it will cut heavier materials up to 3 times faster so for light to medium weight fabrics, 100 watts is a practical production machine for light to medium weight fabric.
Lasers don't need a nesting gap so patterns can touching which gives a useful fabric saving compared with blade cutters. Blade cutters can move fabric around on the cutting table, especially if the vacuum is not 100% or the fabric is very lightweight and not completely flat. .
Features
Air or Water Cooled "All-metal" Laser
The laser tube is good for tens of thousands of hours work and can be regassed and returned to new power levels when necessary.
Heavy-Duty LWB Chassis
Medium power lasers have a long wheelbase Elektron gantry to handle the extra weight of the laser tube. They're industrial strength machines, rugged, stiff and very low maintenance.
Concentric Pen Adaptor for Accurate Marking
Compatible with a wide range of markers (ballpoints, paint markers, etc.), enabling easy marker type changes without affecting seam allowances.
Optional Higher Inkjet Head
If you want marking and cutting to be all zero-contact, then an inkjet print head can be fitted to the front plate, alongside the pen.
Advantages
Cost Efficient Laser Cutting
The Elektron Ti series lasers can cut the widest range of materials and patterns at excellent speed making this a very cost efficient cutting system.
Long Service Life
Engineered without compromise, the Elektron Vi 30 is built to last, delivering reliable performance over decades.
Very low maintenance
Elektron lasers are designed for low maintenance. The fume chimney can be easily removed for checking the lens and mirrors. The mirror draw allows the lens to be removed, checked and replaced within a minute or two. Laser exit windows are site replaceable.
Low Running Cost
The running costs of laser cutters are very low compared with a blade cutter. No blade swapping, no blade alignment to slow you down.
Industries
Paragliders
Paragliders are an industry where Aeronaut laser cutters play an essential role. The Elektron Vi30 will cut canopies as fast as a 100 watt laser because if its light weight. Harnesses and accessories can also be cut but at a lower speed than a 100 watt laser.
Parachutes
Military and recreational parachutes are an area where Aeronaut is the dominant cutter manufacturer. With all-round edge sealing being an important requirement, a laser is the best tool for the job.
Low power lasers are perfect for canopies but if harnesses, containers and other products are cut, then a higher power laser is more efficient.
Microlights & Hang Gliders
With accuracy and edge sealing being so important with this work, the best tool for the job is a laser cutter. Since production output is not normally very critical, a low power laser can do the job well.
Sailmaking and Marine
The best cutter for spinnaker cloth is a laser. However lasers are also great for cutting light dacron and even heavier cruise materials, solarstop acrylic and many other marine fabrics.
